The County of Humboldt’s official website is humboldtgov.org. Its Staff Directory lists every county department with its phone number.

Most county offices are in Eureka, around the County Courthouse at 825 Fifth St. Phone numbers and hours can change, so please call ahead before you go.

Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the county’s elected governing board. It meets most Tuesdays at 9 a.m. in the Board Chamber at the Humboldt County Courthouse, 825 Fifth St., Eureka. It usually does not meet on the fifth Tuesday of a month.

How to give public comment (3 minutes per person):

  1. In person: speak at the meeting. To add papers to the record, bring the original plus 7 copies on 8½ x 11 paper.
  2. By phone or Zoom: call the number printed on the front of the agenda. Turn off the live stream, then press *9 to raise your hand. Staff will call on you by the last four digits of your phone number.
  3. In writing: send your comment to the Clerk of the Board with your name and the agenda item number.
